One summery morning Mrs. McColl shouted "Come on Katie Morag, wake up. It's the BIG DAY! The helicopter is waiting to take you and Grannie Island to the mainland."

Katie Morag rushed downstairs and gobbled up her breakfast. Then she and Grannie Island raced down to the airport and jumped into the helicopter as it zoomed off.

Sometimes they went higher than the clouds and even thought they would fall out. Then they landed. Bump, bump went the helicopter.
"Oh slow down," exclaimed Grannie Island, "or I shall be sick," but the man didn't listen.
"Next time we can drive the helicopter," chuckled Katie Morag as they got out.
