"Why are these people helping us out of here? I am perfectly fine getting out by myself," moaned Grannie Island.

"Well we don't want you to get hurt Madam," the man replied.
"Anyway, get your paws off me. I can open a door you know. I knew it wasn't a good idea to come here," she said.

When they got in the house, they went to look round. In the living room Grannie Island pressed a button on the television and turned it on. She was terrified and ran to Grandma Mainland who came in to look after her.

When the man on the television spoke, Grannie Island spoke back to him, but of course he didn't answer.

In the kitchen Grandma Mainland put the kettle on and Grannie Island rushed around shouting "Fire, fire!" "Don't worry," said Grandma Mainland, "it's not a fire, it's only the gas cooker."
