The Turnip House which was formerly cattle feeding stalls, with room for storage of fodder (turnips) in the middle. This cottage sleeps five/six people. We lived in it for several years whilst we built our own house nearby - very cozy The Tallot which was the stable or 'orses 'ouse as they say around here. Tallot/tallet (not sure which) is the stable with grain and tack room aloft. This cottage sleeps two people. This was formerly my leathercraft studio/workshop See - Cornwall map We have the advantage of seeming quite remote from civilization in a rustic rural setting but we are only 3 miles away from the A30, which is the main dual carriageway running through Cornwall. We are centrally situated for both coasts, about half an hour from the south coast and three quarters of an hour from the beaches of the north coast. There are shops, supermarkets, leisure facilities and churches in Liskeard, Launceston and Bodmin - all about 20 minutes away. Plymouth is 45 minutes by road. No holiday in Cornwall is complete without a visit to Jamaica Inn, made famous by Daphne de Maurier which is three miles away and is our nearest 'local'. There are lots of pub/restaurants in the area serving good food The Eden Project is 30 minutes away and is becoming a 'must see' for any Cornish holiday. It is growing/changing all the time.
